Halloween Haunt 🎃

Halloween is here, and we want to see what lurks in your Fakédex. Create (or dig up) a Fakémon inspired by spooky season and enter it for a chance to win slots and a spot in the spotlight.

There are no type restrictions. It doesn't have to be Ghost or Dark. A haunted Grass type, a cursed Water type, or a trick or treating Fairy type are all fair game, as long as it feels Halloween.

This is a seasonal competition: a lighter, fun event to celebrate spooky season. Bigger flagship competitions with larger prizes will run separately.

Who can enter

Everyone! Pro, amateur or hobbyist: all skill levels are welcome.

What we're looking for

All entries are judged internally by the Fakédex Builder team. We'll be looking for:

• Spooky spirit: how well it captures Halloween
• Originality of the concept
• Visual quality of the artwork
• Overall presentation: does the entry feel complete and considered?

This is a friendly community event, not a stat min-maxing contest.

Timeline

• Entries close 28 October
• Judging runs 28–30 October
• Winners announced on Halloween, 31 October 🦇

Featured entries

Selected Fakémon may be featured on the homepage, in future updates, or in promotional material, always with credit to the original creator.

Verification

Winners may be asked to verify ownership of their design or adopt before rewards are granted. Please join our Discord after entering so we can reach you.

👻 Shortlisted (2 entries): +3 slots each

Winners will be announced on 31 October. Results will be posted on the competition page and in our Discord.

• Submit one Fakémon created in Fakédex Builder, with an image
• Your entry must be a unique Fakémon. Original species, regional forms and Megas are all welcome, but an unchanged canon Pokémon is not
• Artwork must be your own original work, or an adopt you own. Credit the original designer in your Fakémon's credit links
• No AI generated art. AI entries will be removed
• No tracing or edited official Nintendo / Game Freak art
• Entry must fit the Halloween theme
• Keep it all ages. Spooky is great, gore is not
• One entry per person
